I would first like to talk about The Person Behind the Formula. Her name is Amanda Haley and she is the VP/Owner of Stockton Aloe 1, Inc.  Amanda is also a Certified Massage Therapist. She graduated from Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy, where she studied under one of the Greats in her Field of Aromatherapy, Sylla Sheppard-Hanger.

 Before going to School and getting an education in Aromatherapy, Amanda was very intrigued with essential oils and all of their different smells. She grew up just wanting to smell every essential oil she could put her nose to.  She found herself reading a lot of books on the subject and felt driven towards the field . 

 After Amanda Haley graduated she went on from there and began working as a Sales Consultant for a Direct Sales Company promoting their line of Essential Oils. Amanda says she learnt a lot while she was there.  Being inspired by a Friend, Amanda went on and began teaching CEU Courses (Continuing Education Units) to massage therapist for the purpose of renewing their licenses.

 After Amanda’s 3rd Child, she put Aroma Therapy a little bit in the back seat. Amanda says teaching took up a lot of time, although she loved it, it was a lot of hard work. Even though Amanda is not teaching aroma therapy, she uses aroma therapy in her everyday life. Even when she puts on Youth Derm Ultra Healing Aloe Cream.  When I think of essential oils, I think of burning the oil for the smell, but that is just one part of it. Certain burning oils can trigger emotions in a person.  I myself burn essential oils at home. Different scents do relax my mind and body. 

  Amanda shared how when she and her Husband take road trips and have to stay up a little longer than usual to drive, they will open a vile of peppermint oil letting the aroma flow through the air and maybe once in a while taking a closer sniff of the peppermint oil. The scent seems to arouse, or awaken their senses, helping them stay awake for the drive. I find that Interesting. I think I will try the aroma of peppermint oil while drinking my cup of coffee in the morning!   

 Amanda is very knowledgeable when it comes to essential oils and what they can do for your skin. Many of these same essential oils that I burn in my burner at home, have great potential to help my skin when I apply them. Some oils Amanda taught me can be used to help with scrapes and bruises. Inflammation, infections and many other types of things.
